Most people at one point or another have sold a car. To begin we will need these products…

Start by washing your car with the Platinum Series XL Dip & Wash Tool.  This tool combines the wash power of a premium microfiber car wash pad with the reach and control of a lightweight, extendable aluminum pole.  We recommend using the two-bucket method at all times to cut down on potential recontamination of the paint.  One bucket of soapy water, one bucket of pure water to rinse out the head of the wash tool in between refilling the wash head with soapy water.  Wash your whole vehicle thoroughly working from top to bottom. 

Next using our giant plush 700 GSM  Platinum Series 6 sq. ft Drying towel, dry your car.  Now we get into some chemicals.  You will need either a clay bar lubricant or a fresh bucket of clean soapy water.  Clay bar is meant to remove the very stuck particles that get embedded in the clear coat of your paint.  Before adding any surface sealants, you will want to remove as much of that as possible.

We knew that if we just used our Platinum Series Wash Mitt, or even the plethora of other options that are out there, we wouldn’t have created these imperfections on our newly washed car. It was at this point I looked over at my boss and he had this grin on his face, the grin that I knew all too well. This was his “I’ve just had an interesting idea that might blow your mind away” grin. He went to our stash of car washing products, grabbed the Platinum Wash Mitt, and jammed it over the brush bristles. At first, I thought he was joking. Then, as he started to wash the car (with the now oddly shaped mitt and the ever so few bristles sticking out the opening of the mitt where your hand was supposed to be) I saw the potential. This was going to be such a cool car washing tool!

We did some research, as one should when creating any new product, and found that the dip and wash method did exist in some form of what we envisioned, but we needed to elevate it a bit to make it a true Platinum Series product. In the beginning, the Dip and Wash Tool went through a few generations with different pole mechanisms, different shapes for the wash head, and several other slight modifications, until we perfected it to what it is today.

Where our competitors tend to have square or rectangular wash heads, we created a large oval wash head. This allows you to wash more space on the vehicle, but still be able to fit into most standard sized wash buckets. During the testing phase of this product, we realized that the shape of the wash head provided us with one more benefit we never saw coming – swirling suction.

When you push the wash head down into a round bucket, it creates a heavy swirling action that helps pull dirt and grime out of the chenille wash head, making sure you always have a clean car washing device.

Earlier in the blog I said, “we perfected [the Dip and Wash Tool] to what it is today,” and I meant it – but there’s always room for improvement. In the next few months I’m going to give you a sneak peek at new products we’re working on and the process of refining what some might consider a “finished product.”
